How We Delivered

The Challenge

The Akshayapatra Foundation’s Ahmedabad kitchen needed high temperature hot water reliably available before dawn to begin cooking for the mid-day meal scheme  a specification most standard systems cannot meet.

Our Solution

A solar thermal and high temperature heat pump combination, custom engineered to deliver 75–80°C water at early morning cooking hours, ensuring no delay to the kitchen’s production schedule.

The Impact

Thousands of children across the region receive freshly cooked meals every school day, powered entirely by clean energy  with no dependence on costly LPG or grid electricity for heating.

Why This Project Matters

“As global disruptions make fossil fuels increasingly unreliable and expensive, institutions that feed children cannot afford uncertainty. This installation makes the kitchen resilient.”
